This tour, led by Garden and Architectural Historian, Warwick Oakman takes you to the landscape: an 1820s orchard of great age and rarity, bounded by loose borders, communal walks, pleasure gardens, river walks with rills inhabited by platypus, the water sluices of 1841 and the bakery of 1822. Experience the atmosphere, the rarity and the silences of Redlands.

The full Redlands agricultural, scientific, botanical and architectural experience. (Also led by Warwick Oakman). Bringing landscape and convict history together, visitors will see the evolution of excellence. See the how the land grows super produce, see the most complex scientific farm in Australia of the period. Visit the spaces lived in by generations of hop pickers of the Derwent Valley. See the poverty and wealth, knowledge and abandon over nearly 200 years. Includes complimentary breads, whisky tastings and Redlands produce food. A Tasmanian visitor must do!
